My Buddie's Widow

My loud buddy (was 35) always boasting, like speeding and then one day a linkage gave out on a bend and his life was ended in an instant November2023. I'm now 32 and was single at the time, both me and my late buddy were well off financially. My Buddie's wife now 27 was now widowed no children luckily, she is the complete opposite to what he was, she oh so quiet. Hardly spoke when I was visiting, but she had no family and neither had my buddy. His family was all but killed off in 2020 pandemic, only my buddy and an old aunt left, the aunt passed away 2022. His wife was orphaned at young age and raised in state care and moved about quite a bit. She was unsure of what she should or could do and as I was the closest friend you could say she had she asked me for help. I was happy to help, and we were together, quite a bit. Finally, I decided she should marry me that way she would be looked after by me, and I'd gotten quite attached to her. At first, I was unsure how to proceed, finally just asked her to marry me August2024. She agreed straight away, it suited her as it did me, we married in September2024. Now she is pregnant with our first a boy who we intend to name after my late buddy.
