The Day Mel Went Without A Computer Companion

NOTE: This takes place before ‘Piff’s Big Comeback Special’ and deals with the feelings I went through when I was locked out of my laptop and it is very personal.

Mel could not imagine losing Lenora but she ultimately did and it hurt you, yes she got a new one in the form of Hyacinth but Hyacinth was not the ideal companion at first…she kept locking Mel out and the two of them argued over and over and for a while it seemed it was going to be difficult for her to reconcile with her, after Hyacinth locked her out she had lost her cool.



She did not have any motivation to get up in the morning due to Hyacinth not letting her back in, and she was in the worst of moods that day. ‘Ugh, I can’t believe I am stuck having not to do anything computer related and it’s all thanks to that stupid cyber diva who replaced Lenora.’ ‘I don’t think Hyacinth is THAT bad.’ ‘She locked me out and I hate her, I freaking hate her.’



Jumping out of bed, she panicked and screamed as she grabbed Hyacinth and attacked her. ‘Grrrr! I hate you. Why do you lock me out like this, why do you do this to me? We are supposed to be friends!’ ‘It’s not my fault, okay?’ ‘It is your fault, it will forever be your fault and I hate that I had to hire you because Jill thought it would be the best for me to hire you, I HATE YOU!’ she screamed as she smacked her around and attempted to strangle her before Jahna turned up. ‘What the hell are you doing?’ ‘Attacking Hyacinth, I hate this pathetic excuse for a humanoid laptop companion, she locked out on me for no reason.’



‘Well maybe if you didn’t forget the combination to unlock her this wouldn’t have happened.’ ‘Well maybe if I didn’t get locked out of every damn account I have due to both my Ymail and gmail universe files being locked inside her I would not be in this mess and maybe if Jill actually listened to me instead of blaming me for everything.’ ‘She does not blame you for everything.’ ‘Oh yes she does, she always does this. She NEVER listens.’



“She only does that because she worries.”



“Well she worries too damn much!”



Mel growled as she charged towards Jahna, roaring as she bulked out up in terms of musculature and her hair grew messier and her teeth sharpened as her eyes turned bright yellow. ‘Mel, please don’t harm her, she did nothing wrong.’ Aiyido the beholder responded. Piff grew worried about what was happening as Mel’s voice deepened and she roared ferociously, attempting to try and make mince meat out of Jahna with her sharp claws, he had morning tea for a bit and calmed down before having lunch.



She was still peeved that this would happen and she roared and began to slash at Hyacinth. ‘Your mother paid a lot to hire that computer woman, respect her and stop trying to hurt her!’ ‘She is not working the way I want her to and I dislike her.’ ‘Well trying to hurt her is not helping.’ Mel roared as she grabbed Jahna and tossed her onto the floor and was about to cut into her neck when she saw the chalk, using the chalk she drew an elaborate mural depicting how she felt which had an unhappy screaming Piff yelling ‘I WANT LENORA!’ and she depicted Jill as a massive demon with a speech bubble that said ‘bla bla bla if you’re not careful you’re going to be without a computer, bla bla bla you’re going to listen to me’.



The demonic depiction of Jill came to life and started screaming at her…’HOW DARE YOU NOT GET ALONG WITH HER, I PAID GOOD MONEY TO HIRE HER!’ ‘Stupid worthless cow, you wouldn’t be saying the same thing if your laptop companion died.’ ‘Did you call Jill a worthless cow?’ ‘Yeah, I did, stay out of this Jahna!’



“You are scaring me.”



“I am afraid as well.”



She called Jill and made a complaint…’Do you see what you have done? I cannot unlock Hyacinth and she has locked me out, it would have been better if you just un-retired Redrika, you know the little laptop companion instead of hiring this new one!’ ‘REDRIKA DOES NOT WORK, I TOLD YOU SHE DOES NOT WORK!’ ‘Mom I am very well aware Redrika is not working anymore.’



After slamming the phone down she had afternoon tea and decided to calm down and used some magic to defeat the demon version of Jill, sealing her back in the chalkboard and erasing her. It was then she decided on any idea, she saw the Piff coloring pages and discovered she could use some of Natasha’s crayons to bring them to life, which resulted in her making a cool Piff mask that she originally created for a costume which she displayed and also making multiple different versions of Piff.



She discovered she could do even more art with numerous pieces of paper and she returned to normal, she even read some books and looked at her picture folders before dinner, after dinner they all sent a message to Jill about their adventure and Piff and Tangie still went fishing, catching a couple of fish and evne playing together, they had a karaoke session.



Afterwards they all cuddled up and got ready for bed as they thanked Mel and said goodnight as Corey put his bat pajamas on and Oats put on his pink night-gown, they brushed their teeth as they all finished off their day - Mel drew pictures in her notepad before reading.



And finally they all jumped into bed and fell asleep, she felt worried but she knew that eventually her nightmare would come to an end and they all drifted off to sleep and had sweet dreams. Piff even dreamed of making a huge comeback (which of course is ‘Piff’s Big Comeback Special’) and entertaining his fans once more, and thus their adventure had come to an end.
